Funding diversification commission

The objectives of the Commission are:

1. To seek wide consultation with other commission members on the merits and demerits of the respective key result area.
   
2. Identify activities to be pursued in the specific area of function.
3. To identify funding sources for the specific key result area.
4. To seek strategic partnership with other organizations, associations, institutes and chambers.
5. To advise the General Secretary on any matter of concern pertaining to issues that will have been identified in the particular key result area needing special attention.
6. To demystify the challenges of the negative perceptions EFZ has accumulated over the years.
7. To provide visionary leadership and continuously project the image of member bodies according to the EFZ statement of faith.
8. To have people driven activities which, helps them in their areas through trainings.
9. To support the turn around strategy being pursued by the secretariat.
   

The Commission has specific guidelines, which are:

1. To provide financial oversight of all EFZ financial matters and to ensure compliance with stipulated policy and regulations of all financial transactions involving EFZ.
   
2. To ensure the Secretariat submit timely budgets of all Commissions, the Secretariat and the Board.
   
3. To ensure enhanced legitimacy, responsibility, transparency and accountability of the Secretariat to the Board and subsequently to the AGM.
   
4. To ensure EFZ creates an enhanced ability to meet donor and stakeholders expectations.
   
5. To ensure EFZ has adequate finances to adequately address its economic needs in relation to salaries, programs, activities and other related functions.
   
6. FDC has been given the mandate by the EFZ board to raise funds as per budgets.
   
7. To ensure the standards for financial management systems set are adequate and are being used in compliance to the set objectives.
8. To make recommendations to the NEC on any financial matters which need attention through the General Secretary and to support the objectives of the Board financially.
